Can you tell us when and why you started your blog?
I started my blog towards the end of 2014 because I always got such positive feedback to the outfits I posted on Instagram. I was always interested in fashion and was keen on working independently, and Instagram and the blog then turned out to be the perfect platform to connect the two.
How would you describe your signature style?
I would say that my signature style is chic and stylish, but suitable for everyday use. I create breaks in the style consciously to make the outfits more interesting and like to combine special accessories such as luxury shoes, bags and jewelry with everyday pieces.
You mix high-street with high-end so effortlessly, do you have any tips + tricks to perfect this?
These combinations should always be made in line with your taste and understanding of aesthetic. You shouldn’t experiment just because something is on trend, but rather stick to what you know you like. I always try to create minimalist looks and outfits, big prints and logos are less interesting to me. I like to have one or two pieces as the highlights of an outfit, and not to dress in something that I don’t really believe in.
What are your top 3 essential wardrobe items?
A vintage designer handbag; it is always great to really upgrade an outfit.
Sunglasses; no matter where or when, they always look stylish.
Knitwear; especially during the dark and cold days; they are a must-have.
How will you transition your wardrobe into Spring?
I like to stick to dresses on warmer days, but I always pick either my top or bottom to show some skin with these outfits; either off shoulder but longer, or short and therefore with a higher neckline and sleeves. With the weather being so unpredictable at the moment, it’s always good to stick to layering too!
What trends should we look out for in 2019?
Any form of hair and head accessories, whether those are hair clips, bucket hats or headbands. Also shoulder pads and high waisted jeans!
