Mom Must-Have: My mom must-have is a sense of humor. There are always hard times, but a lot of times when you look back you can laugh. When your kids spill stuff on your favorite shirt, or try to clean the bathroom with toilet water (so gross I know!), but if you can’t laugh it’s easy to get stressed! My go-to mom product is my Fawn Design bag. It started as a diaper bag, but now it’s my go-to backpack. You can adjust the strap from a double strap to single and it has so many compartments. I love it!
Favorite Family Memory of 2018: As a family, my favorite memory for 2018 was our summer trip to Italy and Spain. Every year we do an extended trip somewhere just our family and having that uninterrupted time with the kids and seeing them in new cultures and experiencing new things is so special. Always my favorite moments! Also this year, Beckam (age 4) told me he wanted to get flowers for a girl in his class. While I was tucking him in he said, “Mom, we have to leave early tomorrow. I have to stop and get flowers. Can I borrow some money?” I said, “Ya of course, but who are they for? Your teacher?” He said, “No, they are for a girl in my class. She’s really nice and I told her I’m bringing her a surprise tomorrow.” I almost died. I honestly thought he would forget about it by morning but he woke up, jumped out of bed, and said, “Mom, we got to hurry, we need to get her flowers.” We got to the store and I went for the cheap single flowers and he’s like, “No, no she needs big flowers 😂 and they have to be orange – she loves the color orange!” I was seriously melting at how specific he had created this for her in his mind. We got the big orange flowers and took them to school. The little girl was a little embarrassed I think. 😂 She only wanted a couple of the flowers and gave the rest to her mom and some back to Beckam. So when I picked Beckam up from school, he was like, “I saved some for you Mom!” 🙂 I know this is a novel, but it hit me what an example we are to our kids (both good and bad)! Cody is so great about bringing flowers home just because or if I’m having a bad week, and I know Beckam sees how excited that makes me, and wanted to do that for someone else. I think sometimes we forget how observant they are. I’m just so thankful for his big heart! ❤
