Blink and you might miss it. We came, saw and conquered London Fashion Week in the blink of an eye. From 1920’s inspired ensembles to equestrian-chic, the autumn/winter runways saw an array of skimmed lengths, refined prints and textures galore.

Fashion Week resident and all-round street style maven, Anisa Sojka, met us for a quick fire Q&A amidst the craziness of her schedule. We walk down memory lane, discover her wardrobe highlights (all shoppable, BTW) and she spills some of her fave shows of the season…

So I’m half Moroccan and half Czech.

I moved to London 6.5 years ago to do my masters in strategic Fashion marketing. I worked for two years in digital before I left to become a full time content creator, and that’s what I do as a huge passion of mine!

My first ever Fashion Week memory is…

being photographed by photographers outside a show and being so confused as to what was going on, I wasn’t familiar with street style as a concept and was wondering why on earth they were taking my photo. Probably looked like a deer in headlights in all those images!

How would you compare London Fashion Week to the 3 others?

I’ve only ever done Paris Fashion Week, but they do differ! I find that people are more daring with their style in London, while Paris is very curated.

My dream show to attend would be…

Chanel! Need I say more?

How do you plan your Fashion Week outfits?

It’s a combination of going to different PR agencies to pull looks to borrow, and styling together things from my own closet. I usually think about the trends I love most and focus on those items. For example, I knew I wanted big sleeves, structured blazers and combat boots in my looks for this season. I’m obsessed over these at the moment!

This season, I’ve been wearing…

I wore two suits and two dresses, all styled very differently. One suit was styled quite edgy, trousers tucked into combat boots. The second suit was more sophisticated with pointed heels. Same goes for the dress looks, the maxi was edged up with flat chunky boots while the leather midi was with pointed heeled boots and a statement coat. They are all available to shop below.

What were you most excited by this season?

Seeing a few of my favourite designers’ A/W20 collections at the shows. For example, Erdem and Roksanda – they never fail to amaze me. I’m always blown away by their shows! A show can be like a theatrical performance, so much work goes into it and it’s definitely noticeable.
